The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on Roods cleared for consumption this day, was L 44 Os 7d. 'Hie principal features of the last week s markets remain unchanged. Demand is brisk, and on the whole prices, with slight exceptions, may be considered steady. I he new seasons tea's are very good in quality ; inferior congous, Betheas, and Hoolonga, which used to form so large a proportion of our imports, being altogether excluded. The late arrivals are moving off rapidly, some heavy sales having been made during Abe week at very fair prices. No change has taken place in sugars, so far as value is concerned ; but second yellows are becoming scarce and are much sought after. Dried fruits are in good demand; no alteration has taken place from last week’s quotations. A rise has taken {dace in the value of rice, in consequence of the advance which has taken place in the Melbourne market, advice of which was received by the Albion. It is miw held for 20s higher than last week. In spirits, but little movement lias taken place. Brices of brandy are firm at hist week’s quotations, but rum has advanced in consequence of the information by the Albion that purchases cannot be tnade in Melbourne under 4s.
