Country brands of flour were sold at auction at Ll3 2s Cd. Wheat, sslod. Full dark oats, 4s 4d to 4s sd. Maize scarce. The Sydney markets arc bare. A fall of 10s to 15s per ton in low class Mauritius sugars is reported. Puna, 10 0.p., 4s. Telegraphic advices from London report a large advance in deals, which are now at Lll 10s to Ll2 per standard, at Baltic ports, for the next season’s delivery. Wool easier. At yesterday’s sale at Goldsborongh s, greasy ranged from 5d to 141 d; fleece, 17d to 28M. A large portion of greasy was bought in. Growers have, with few exceptions, given way to buyers in the matter of tare. Preserved meats dull. The Australian Meat Preserving Company’s plant was offered by auction, but found no bidders. The Victorian beet sugars begin to attract attention; fine samples were lately submitted. Advices fiom Sydney and Adelaide report wool weaker. London. November 10.—The money market is very stringent, and an advance in the rate of discount is expected, owing to the anticipated report of gold being wanted for America. The Stock Exchange is disorganised. Australian securities are lower, and the produce markets are adversely affected. The wool market is quiet, and prices continue firm. The corn market is quiet; Home deliveries are small, but foreign arrivals are abundant. Adelaide wheat is at (>2s per quarter. The copper market is heavy and unsettled, with receding prices. Quotations are—Lsl to L 92. Tin is depressed, with little business doing; of Australian arc reported at Ll2O cash. The American exchange is declining. American railway companies still fail to pay interest on their bonds.
