The qualities of the new teas to hand are good and quite equal to those of last season. It is gratifying to observe the increased importations that have taken place this year, as it is an indication that this market may very shortly become altogether independent of Australia for supplies. _ The sugar lately arrived is going very rapidly into consumption, considerable > quantities having left town for supplying the interior.
