FORBURY PARK COMPANY.

A special general meeting of the shareholders of the Forbiuy Park Company was held this afternoon in the office of the secretary (Mr Sydney James), About twenty persons were present, representing a total of 178 shares. Mr J. Marshall presided. The Chairman stated that the object was to consider a communication signed by thirteen shareholders, representing 145 shares, in terms of the Joint stock Company’s Act, that a meeting of the shareholders should he called to consider the advisability of taking steps to sell the ground held by the Company. In reply to a question put by Mr Eliott, Mr Larnacb stated that, as a body, the directors had no sympathy jyitfe tfee requisitionists. Dr Alexander spoke in fay-op o'f tin? movement; also Mr G. G. Russell and others, by whom explanations were made to the effect that ground in the vicinity had risen in value to LISO per acre. After being discussed, a motion was tabled that the land now under lease be sold by public auction in one block, at the minimum price of LLSO per acre.
