The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption this day, was L1,93113s lOd. The sale of town properties at Messrs M'Landrcss, Hepburn, and Co.’s rooms to-day attracted a very large attendance, and tiie prices given for those sold show that the value of land is still on the increase. Some sections in the Canongate sold at prices varying from LOO to LIOO ; the brick residence at thecoma' of Dundas and Great King streets, and no;v occupied by Mr It. Hudson (subject lo a mortgage of L 250), was sold fur L.U.g to Mr W. Kennedy ; section lb, rs. hj. V alley, containing ten acres, and fronting the main north road, to Mr J. Hislop, for L“>!)0 ; part «>f nectiou 5 and the whole of sections b and block 29, with a frontage to (Forge street of by aMepth of , to Mr J. Copulaxrl, for L 8 a foot (this land was purchased at miction six months ago for Lb 10s a foot); and the lease of section 25, block 0, on which tho warehbu«o of Messrs Sargood, Sou, and Lwen ptanck, to Mr Scott, for L 2,000.
