RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT, PORT CHALMERS.
Tuesday, Octofiku 21. (Before I. N. Watt, Esq., R.M. Beck v. Carrington.—Cl rim LI 2s, for boots supplied. No appearance of defendant. Judgment was given for the plaintiff with costs. Asher v. Galvin.-—Adjourned till the 28ih inst. Monson v. Buckley.—This was a fraud summons, the plaintiff having previously obtained judgment for LI 15s, rent. Defendant pt omised to pay rather than be sworn, which was accepted. Wednesday, October 22.

DRUNKENNESS. —Henry Close was charged with being drunk and disorderly in the streets of Port Chalmers on the 21st. He pleaded guilty of being drunk but not disorderly. He was found gui'ty of both offences, and fined 40a, or fourteen days’hard labor.
