The amount of revenue received at the Cus tom-house on goods cleared for consumption this day, was L 1,736 6s sd. There was a large attendance of speculators and others at Messrs M’Landress, Hepburn, and C’o.’s sale of freehold City allotments today. Lot 1, with 30ft frontage to Forth street, fetched LlO5 ; lot 2, ditto, L 10 0; lot 3, ditto, LlO5 ; lot 4, ditto, L 95 ; lot 5, 30ft frontage to Harbor terrace, L 75 ; lot 6, ditto, LUO ; lot 7, ditto, Ll2O ; lot 8, ditto, L 95; lot 9, frontage to Harbor terrace of 45ft 6hi, L 20 5; lot 10, frontage to same place of 47ft Gin, LIOO ; lot 11, with a frontage of 32ft 4in, L 200; lot 13, half-acre ground, with 12ft entrance from Forth street and Harbor terrace, together with 13-roomed dwelling-house, L 745 ; sections 16, 17, IS, 19, block 35, freehold sections, fronting the old Botanic Gardens, were also put up, and knocked down for the sum of LB6O. Ihe property in that part of the town seems to be increasing in value, and speculation is rife.
