Monday, October 20. (Before Dr Drysdale, J.P.) Drunkenness. —Jas. s ’pence was charged with being drunk and disorderly on the rail way pier on the 18th instant, pleaded guilty, and was fined 5s or twenty-four hours’ hard labor. ( bscenk! ANGUAGK.-Robt. Evans,charged with making use of obscene and indecent language on the railway pier on the 17th instant, pleaded guilty.—Sergeant Neil de posed that on the evening of the 17th accused was on the rai way pier. Witness advised him to go on board his ship, but he would not. He told Constable Carter to help him on board He then made use of the language complained of. There were a great man; persons on the pier at the time.—A fine of 40s and costs, or fourteen day’s hard labor, was inflicted.
