A. R. H AT In opening up his consignment of ARTIFICIAL SPRING AND SUMMER FLOWERS, came across what appeared to be a live Beetle. Upon closer inspection, however, it turned out to be a wonderful imitation of nature. In fact, it was a dead Beetle mounted upon the finest wires, forming its legs ~ the wings and back coated wdth the colors of the rainbow. This w hen carelessly fastened upon the Blossoms, w'hich appear to have just come from the Conservatory, produces a very beautiful effect. The foliage of some of these Flowers surpasses anything before seen in this Colony; the most astonishing fact being that they are marked at such a price as to bring them within the reach of all. MILLINERY DEPARTMENT. A R. H A Y, Importer, Princes street, Dunedin
