OHN STEWART, DRAPER, HABERDASHER, AND IMPORTER, GEORGE STREET. The very best value for cash still continues to be given at this Establishment. In no previous month since this business has been established, has the same amount of trade been done as in the month just closed. This proves to the advertiser that his idea of doing business, and the low prices at which he sells his goods, are appreciated by his friends and the public. Space will not permit quoting prices for goods in the various departments ; but to give an idea of the value given for cash compared with other houses, the Glove Department may be taken as a criterion. It is now becomming pretty well known that every house in Dunedin, with the exception of STEWART’S, is selling Josephine Kid Gloves at 5s a pair. Stewart being satisfied with a limited profit, continues to sell the very best brands at 4s 6d. Next may be mentioned the celebrated Glove, with sewed backs, at 2s 6d, this Establishment is famed. This is the only house in the City where these Gloves are to be had at the price, They are now worn by almost everybody, and give great satisfaction. The Dress Department is worthy of inspection.
