Tuesday, September 30. (Before I. N. Watt, Esq , R.M.) Wibon v. Waldon.— Claim of L2 10s, balance of rent. Judgment for plaintiff, L2 10s, and costs. .1, H. Monson v. Timothy Buckley.— Claim of LI 4s, being six weeks' rent, at 4s per week. —Judgment for plaintiff, LI 4s, and costs. (Before Hugh M‘Dermid, Esq., and Dr Drysdale, J.P.’s) Ship Desertion. —Alexander Maclean Steele was charged by Captain Ohlson with deserting from the brig Derwent.—The prisoner said he was very sorry, and would like to go on board the ship again.—Captain Ohlson stated the vessel had been here eight days, and the prisoner had been absent four days. Witness had been put to 13 expenses for labor, and was willing to take him back again if he paid all expenses, and promised to behave himself for the. future. — The Bench ordered him to go on board, and to pay the expenses amounting to L 3 6s 6d.
