Steamers : Phcebe, The ketch Huon Belle, from Gatlin’s river, beat up the harbor this morning. The Harbor Company’s p.s. Samson, for Oamaru, sailed at 8.30 this morning. The Albion, which is duo at Port Chalmers early to-morrow morning, brings part of the Dallam Tower’s cargo, which includes thirtyfive packages for Messrs Kirkpatrick, Glendining. and Co. The Harbor Company’s s.s. Maori, from Lyttelton, via Timaru, arrived at 9.5 this morning. Captain Malcolm reports leaving Lyttelton at 4.45 p.m. on the 24th, and arrived at Timaru at 6.10 a.in. on the 25th ; left again at 8.15 p.m. same day, and arrived as above, having experienced fine weather. We thank Mr Street for Lyttelton papers. The barque Hazel Home, from Mauritius, waq towed up at 11 a.m. to-day. Capt. Richie reports leaving Port Louis on the 10th August, and had fine S.E. trades to the 29th, From the Ist to the 17th experienced extremely rough weather, the starboard boat being washed away, main hatch burst open, and a quantity of water going down the hold, the cabin was filled with water. Passed the trades on the 23rd ; on the 24th N.E. winds; 25th, S.W, winds to arrival.
The fine North German barque Margarita, from the Mauritius, was towed up by the Geelong yesterday, and anchored off Observation Point. Captain Ketels reports leaving Port Louis on the 20th August; had favorable S.E, trades, with very rough weather; tho barometer was very low during the voyage.; gassed the Snares on the 23rd, with a strong .W. wind ; the wind coming round on the 24th from the N.E., prevented him from making the Heads till yesterday _ forenoon. After discharging the Dunedin portion of her cargo, she proceeds to Lyttelton. The whole of her cargo is consigned to Dalgety, Nichols, and Co. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Auckland, Sept.|2G.—Luna, from the South, Fiery Cross, from Norfolk Island. _ Lyttelton, September 2G.~ Arrived —Whitehall, 101 days from Gravesend, with twentythree passengers, all well. The Punjaub’s immigrants’ health continues very unsatisfactory. Another death is reported.
