Public Works Office, WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this Office up to Noon ou Wednesday, October 2D, 1873, for the construction of the “Temuka Contract ” of the above Railway', being about three miles and fourteen chains, and including the Opihi, Temuka, and other bridges. They must be addressed to the Hon. Minister for Public Works, Wellington, and marked outside “ Tender Temuka Contract.” Plans and specifications may be seen at the Public Works Offices, Christchurch and Wellington. Telegraphic Tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received if presented at any Telegraph Office by Noon of the same date, provided that written Tenders in due form are lodged at a District Engineer’s Office, by the same hour. Each Tenderer will be required to give security (as provided for on the form of tender) equal to 20 per cent, on the amount of his tender, binding the tenderer to take up the service tendered for, and to execute the necessary contract bond, in the event of his tender being accepted. Forms of tender and security, with termsand conditions of contract, may be procured at any Post Office. No tender will be considered unless made on the printed form provided by Government.
