Tokomairiro.— Messrs Capstick, Duthie, and Capstick report having sold on Wednesday last Dr Ferguson’s late residence, with acre of land adjoining, for ! 600, to Mr David Dewar, late of Maryland Farm, South Tokomairiro,— The traffic on the southern road has of late been largely on the increase, and there is every indication that during the ensuing summer it will far exceed that of any previous yeir. To meet the increasing demand for travelling accommodation, Mr bleary Yeend is about to run a daily coach, instead of a tri-weekly as at present, between Dunedin and Balclutha, and Messry Smyth and Co. are about to change the bi-weekly service between Invercargill and Popotunoa into a tri-weekly one.—lt has been resolved to form a division of the Sons of Temperance in Tokomairiro. — Herald.
