Captain Bain reports that, on account of the heavy sea, he was compelled to slip anchor at 10 a.m. yesterday. She has on board a portion of her cargo of timber from Havelock, and will sail again the first favorable opportunity. _ , „ The schooner Greet of the Wave, from Greymonth, with a cargo of coals, arrived at 9 p.rn. yesterday. Reports leaving Greymonth on the 4th, with atrpng N.E. winds and heavy seas to Cape Farewell. She will probably sail again for Oamaru, to discharge. ... The Mary Ogilvie, with a cargo of coal, from Graymbuihv amTaithis momng; and, after a short stay, proceeded to Dunedin. Exports leaving on the Bth, and experienced fair weather on the. passage, with easterly .winds. She arrived artheHeads yesterday afternoon. Her cargo is consigned to Mr G, S, Brodrick.
