' The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption this day, was LlOl 2s 2d. The market during the past week has, on the whole, been steady, and with few exceptions our last week’s quotations are unaltered. A sale of American produce took place at the rooms of Messrs M'Landress, Hepburn, and Co., which realised fair prices :-Pale resin, Ll4 17a 6d; (strained, L 10; Devoe’s kerosene, Is to Is 10kd- nests of tubs, 16a 6d; Coxs axes, 48s; assorted tacks, 15s per box; Tens tobacco m three-quarter boxes, Prince Albert s brand, , Southern Twist, in cases, with all faults, yd; in quarter-tiorees, Is 3d. News has been received that the Skimmer of the Seas, from New York, bound to this port, has put into Melbourne disabled. This may possibly have its influence on the market for American goods. In oilmen’s stores the chief feature is a change in in the value of salad oil, which can now be quoted at 10s 9d for pints, and 6s bd for haltpints. In spirits no change can be reported. Henessey’s brandy is firm at 31s in case, and os 3d in bulk. Considerable parcels have changed hands during the week. Otard’s in bulk realises 7s 6d, and cases 275. Heavy sales have been made of rum; KWP ha* Been placed in quantity at 3s 9cl for 10 0.p., and 4s 2d for 30 o.p. . Bottled ale remains scarce, but porter is in better supply, though prices have not changed, Sugar is still scarce, and yellows command extreme rates. In tea but little is doing, as the new season’s pick is expected shortly. We learn, however, that stocks are by no means heavy, and sales are not pressed. Candles are unaltered from last week's prices. Wheat is in rather better request, beveral of the millers have been buying this week, lor really prime samples from the Taien or Camara districts 5s Id to 5s 6d is the value. Clutha wheat is not in sale. Fowl wheat scarce. In oats but little has been doing. Cood milling lots are offered at 4s 4d to 4s sd, and bad at 4s 3d to 4s 4d. Barley is dud at 7 s for malting sorts. In flour the inquiry is steady, at Ll2 10s to Ll3, but the sale does not exceed trade lots. Second class flour finds buyers at LlOtoLll. Oatmeal is quiet at L 24. Pearl barley, L 32. Batter is now very plentiful, and prices are likely to decline. First-class cheese, Is per lb. Side and rolled bacon, 9d to lOd per lb. Beef hams, 7d to 8d per lb. Boiled beef hams, 9d per lb. Colonial hams. Is to Is 2d per lb. English hams, Is 8d per lb. Eggs very plentiful, and retailing at lid to Is per dozen, (By Telegraph.)
