DRAPERY. 10 PER CENT. SAVED IS 10 PER CENT. GAINED. THE COMPLEXION OF THE NEW TARIFF ENTIRELY CHANGED. PROTECTION TO BE HAD FROM INCREASED PRICES IN DRAPERY, SILK-MERCERY, AND CLOTHING, At the Favorite House of JJIRKPATRICK, AND CO. In comparison with old prices, it is fair to state that scarcely anything will be found much higher, while many things will be found lower than formerly. This fact can be proved to the satisfaction of all Purchasers at their Establishment. Although it is admitted that the 10 per cent, ad valorem duty cannot but arouse the attention of the whole community, same time it is confessed that the undesirable result is counteracted by K., G., and Co.’s modern principle of trading. 'I he great saving effected thereby is partly due to Direct Importation, and partly to the fact that their Buyer is always busy selecting and collecting the Best Value to be had for ready money in every mart and factory in the old country. The advantages thus gained—the bargains thus secured—may be shared by everybody, to a greater or less extent, according to the amount of their purchases. * It is therefore not surprising that K., G., and Co. should take the lead in the Retail Trade, and that their names in every family are “ familiar as household words.” FIRST SHIPMENTS OP NEW SPRING AND SUMMER GOODS, Now Open, and Ready for Inspection, consisting of an Immense variety of New Dress Materials, in new Fabrics, quite novel styles, and new shades of color.
