We have received two letters from subordinates in the i -unedin Hospital respecting a statement made by Dr Sorlcy which may or may not be true. In matters of that description we will not insult the public by inserting any communication contradicting that statement excepting it is made by those whoso duty it is to investigate and, if untrue, to contradict the charge. We have also to observe that we never will insert any letter correcting misstatements or errors appearing in the Stah unless couched in courteous language. Thpse who take upon themselves to correct what they think wrong should ro member that they arc only permitted to do so by themselves saying what is right.
