OUR WOOL EXPORT.
The rise in the price of wool at Home is indicate-! in a very striking manner by the table relating to that staple product of the Colony, In 1871 we exported 37,793,7*341ba of wool, which was valued at L 1,606,144. In 1872, the export was 41,886,9971b5, valued at L 2,537,919. That is, on an increase of some four millions pounds in quantity, the value was nearly doubled. Again, the export of wool for the half-year ended June 30 was 3a,184,3571b5, valued at L 2,281,280. These figures are indeed very suggestive. The relative position of the Provinces as regards wool export will be gathered from the subjoined table, which gives quantity and value for the half-year ended June 30 of the current year
