The amount of revenue received at the Ous tom-house on goods cleared for consumption this dav, was L 959 16s 7d. Mr Grant, the manager of the Shotover Terrace Gold Mining Company, reports, for the information of those interested in the company, that he is in receipt of a telegram from one of the (Queenstown directors and the working manager, announcing the result of the vciy imperfect ami interrupted working during July to be 163 ounces of gold. Now that the weather has improved, and miners can be had at reasonable wages, it is stated that a steady improvement in the yield may be looked for. The directors do not propose declaring any dividend until the returns to August 31 have been returned. These will, in fact, represent something like six weeks’ real work. The following is a comparative return of the quantity of gold exported from the several Provinces of New Zealand for the half-years ended June 30,1873, and June 30, 1872 : Provinces. June 30,1873.
