The Storm Bird, from the Bluff, arrived at 2.30 this afternoon. . , The Defiance, from Allday Bay, arnved this morning, with ISO cases preserved meats for the ship J. N. Fleming, and other cargo. Capt. Burke reports leav ing at daylight on the 30th of July, and arriving as above. The schooner Spec, from Havelock, with 24 000 ft of timber for Waikouaiti, arrived at 11* o’clock this morning. Captain Iratt reports leaving on the 12th ot July ; experienced heavy south-west gales, during which she lay to for seven days ; called in at Waikouaiti yestei • day, but could not discharge; left shortly afterwards, and arrived as aoove.
