In consequence of an agreement entered into after a Meeting of the Shareholders of this Bank, held in London, on the 19th May ultimo, I have arranged to hand over, on TUESDAY, the Ist JULY INSTANT, the whole of its business in this Colony to the NATIONAL BANK OF NEW ZEALAND (LIMITED), which Bank will in future carry on business in the several premises hitherto made use of by the Bank of Otago for Banking purposes. On and after the first instant no new business will be taken by the Bank of Otago, but it will continue to be represented at it? several Branches, as long as found necessary, merely for the purpose of completing the transfer to the National Bank.
