BURT, ESQ., Princes street: DEAR SIR—We, the undersigned Ratepayers of High Ward, request that you will allow yourself to be placed in Nomination for the Vacancy of Councillor for High Ward (in the room of Mr Mercer resk'iied). From your long residence in the Ward, and well known practical experience, we have every confidence in your giving due attention to our interests; and we hereby pledge ourselves, should you consent to be nominated, to use our best influence to secure your return.
