SWIMMING BATHS.

The present baths at Pelichet Bay are admitted on all hands tube very inconvenient, in a very dilapidated condition and not at all suitable for ivhat they are intended. The attention that the bather receives, too, is of a very meagre description. I know for a fact that the only good spring-board was placed there by parties who take an interest in swimming ; the sides also of the baths are giving way. In the event of these bodies voting a sum each, there would be no difficulty in augmenting the donations by an appeal to the citizens, who, if I mistake not, contributed largely to the erection of the Pelichet Bay baths. Trusting that you will use your influence in this important matter, —I am, &c., Plunge, Dunedin, July 25,
