PORT CHALMERS MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.

The nomination of Councillors and Auditors for the ensuing year took place in the Town Hall at noon to-day. The following nominations were read by the Town Clcik Sooth Ward. Alexander M'Kenzie : Proposed by Mr William fail, seconded by Mr John Gray. East Ward.— Robert Richie : Proposed by Mr John Morgan, seconded by Mr Alexander M'Kenzic Angus M'Grcgor : Proposed by Mr Arthur Jackson, seconded by Mr James Forsvth, Middle Ward. —Robert Bolton : Proposed by Mr Thomas A. Mansford, seconded by Mr Hugh M'Kenlic. High Ward.— Henry Dench : Proposed by Mr Robert Bauchop, seconded oy Mr Daniel M'Cullam. Andrew M'Kiunon : Proposed by Mr John Drysdale, seconded by Mr John Mills. Auditors. —John Thomson, jnn. : ProSosed by Mr John Mackley ; seconded by [r William Kettle. Alexander Leek : Proposed bv Mr John Mills ; seconded by Mr Hugh M ‘Kenlie. The Town Clerk declared Messrs Bolton and M'Kcnzie duly fleeted for the South and Middle Wards, and Messrs Thomson, jun,, and Leek duly elected as Auditors. All further proceedings in connection with the election of Councillors for High and East Wards adjourned till Friday next, August Ist.
