The Thame* Maoris are reported to pay half-a-crown a piece for sharks’ teeth. Colonel St. John is about to publish a book entitled “ Pakeba Rambles in Maori Lands.” A sure cure for colds in the head is to smell spirits of camphor, and'abeut every half-hour take a few drops on sugar. The intervals between these doses may bo increased on finding relief. The Rev. Dr Taylor, Glasgow, has been presented with a cheque for LI,OOO by the Renfield street U. P. congregation. It has been resolved to hold a grand musical festival in Glasgow—the expense to be limited to L 3,000. The Choral Union Council is to be entrusted with the musioal arrangements ; and the Princess Louise and the Marquis of Lome are to be invited “ to open the festival in person.”
