A continuous down-pour of rain prevailed at Port Chalmers all day, which stopped all work in connection with the shipping. She reports leaving Newcastle on the 25th of last month, and had fine moderate weather across, making the Solanders on the 4th inst., nine days out; there she had light .baffling winds, and went to the southward of Stewart’s Island, and came up through the •Traps ; light northerly winds then prevailed up the coast.
