Report reached town shortly before our going to press of the death of a woman named Jane Edmonds, near St, Hilda. The particulars, as far as yet known, are that the deceased, whose husband is a plasterer at Queenstown, left the St. Hilda Hotel last night between nine and ten o’clock, saying she was going to Caversham, Her body was found this morning in a ditch near Forbury Park, it being supposed that she fell into ii while under the influence of drink. The body now lies a the Kensington Hotel, and an inquest will be held to-morrow.]
