The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption this day, was L 538 19s 6d. Has DUNEDIN SHARE REPORT. Mr F. H. Evans reports as follows South British shares continue to enjoy public favor, and the transfers that have taken place show that they still command last week’s quotations, viz., L2 6s; they will probably reach a higher figure before next report. National Banks, as anticipated, have come more into note, and may be quoted at 6s premium. Bank of New Zealands ; none in this market, although there are buyers. Dunedin Water Works are in statu quo ; there is no disposition to sell on the part of holders at buyers prices. In Forbury Parks, a sale has been made at L2O each; this and former sales at the same price is the top figure they have reached. Shotovers have taken quite the lead amongst mining companies. I sold 250 of these in one line at a shade below the last large parcel mentioned a few days ago, and there are numerous inquiries for them. I hope to be able to quote Arrows and Albion Coal Company’s shares in my next. These shares were largely applied for in Dunedin, and they have every prospect of success. There is but scanty news from the Garrick reefs. The Star of the East is having a month’s crushing, and it is hoped the result of the wash-up will gladden the hearts of the Dunedin shareholders.
