A singular story is related of Mdlle. Sarah Bimbardt, the popular actress at the Frangais. She is said to have lately ordered her coffin to be added to the furniture of her apartment, but in order, perhaps, not to make this appear too lugubrious, has filled it with, her numerous little souvenirs, which are generally supposed to form part of actress’s belongings.
