The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption this day, was L57516s 6d. Messrs Driver, Stewart, and Co. report for week ending June 18, 1873 ; Stock.— Eat Cattle; About 80 head were yarded, of which a very small proportion were of good quality: the lot however were disposed of. Prime quality is worth 22s 6d to 25s per 100 lbs. At the yards and privately we have sold 35 head. Fat Sheep: 600 merino wethers and 100 cross-breds were penned. We sold the latter at 15s 6d, and 280 of the former were placed at 9s 6d, the balance turned out. We quote prime cross-breds at 3d per lb: mennos, at 2£d to 2|d per lb. Store Cattle: But few lots of grown cattle are offering, which are saleable at 70s to 90s for bullocks, and cows at 50s to 70s, according to quality; mixed herds are dull of sale at 40s to 555. Wehaveplaced 100 head grown cattle. Store Sheep : Transactions are limited, owing td the disinclination of buyers to operate at prices asked. We quote cress-bred wethers, at lls to 12s; do ewes, in lamb, 15s to 17s 6d: do lambs, 8s 6d to 9s; merino wethers (young), 7s to 8s; merino ewes, in lamb to long wool rams, 6s to 7s; choice merino ewes, in lamb to merino rams, 7s 6d to 8s 6d. We have sold 1,000 merino ewes at 7s, and 500 wethers at Bs. Wool.— We have no further intelligence from the Home market to report. Only fellmongers’ lots are now coming forward, and which are for the most part shipped on scourers’ account, the demand for these wools being but limited.—Sheepskins: Our auction sale on Saturday last was but thinly attended, and the biddings lacked spirit. A large catalogue of dry skins was submitted, for the bulk of which owners’ expectations were not realised, and hence they were bought in. Green skins were fairly competed for, and realised from 2s 7d to 2s lid for merinos ; and 3a 7d to 4s for choice cross-breds.—Hides at same sale were in good demand, and all offered. About 150 were cleared at prices ranging from 16s to 265. Tallow: None offered. N.Z. Hemp.— For medium qualities we note a’more active inquiry, but the finer descriptions are not saleable at within L 3 per ton of the prices ruling a few months ago. We quote ordinary to fine at Ll9 10s to L2210s per ton. Grain. —Wheat has experienced a better demand during the week, and for the prime northern growth, 5s 3d may be quoted; ordinary, Ss per bushel. Oats ; For choice milling qualities we understand 4s 3d has been paid, but the demand at that figure is not large. Good feed oats are saleable at 4s.
