Holt, from Sunderland, with railway iron, for Wellington and Lytfcelton. The torchlight procession last£night was highly successful. Invercargill, June 17. The Supreme Court was opened, before Mr Justice Chapman, yesterday. Tbomaß Allan pleaded gulty to a charge of stabbing a policeman, and was sentenced to two years' hard labor ; Peter Summers, charged with larceny, was found not guilty, and discharged ; James Yardley, charged with robbery with violence, was found not guilty of the robbery, but pleaded guilty to the minor count of assault, and on it was sentenced to one month's imprisonment; James Dawkins, George Davis, William Metcalf, William Fisher, Thomas Lane, and John Collins, also charged with robbery with violence, pleaded guilty of assault, and the robbery charge was withdrawn. The first two, being ringleaders, were sentenced to six months' imprisonment, the others to four months' imprisonment. James M'Laren, indicted for stabbing with intent, was found not guilty, and discharged.
