Oats have hardened in value, and 4s Id to 4s 2d is readify obtained; late news from Australia will most likely cause a strong advance on these quotations! Barley is doll for malting sorts, 7a to 7s 3d is the highest selling price; inferior samples have buyers at 5s fid. Flour has been advanced in the price to h\2 X 0« for sacks, and Ll3 in bags. A very large quantity has changed hands during the week in speculative lots. Catmeal is quifet at L 25. Bran, L 3 ss. PaUard, L 5. Pearl barley, L 32. Potatoes, 12. Hay, D3sr. Chaff, L 3 ss. Straw, L2los. A. Side and rolled bacon 9d to lOd per lb. _ Colonial hams, Is to Is 2d per lb, and selling well. Eggs a little more plentiful, and selling at 2s 6d per doz.
