HE Committee desire to express their thanks to those friends who have prO' mised goods as follows :—Mr Burt for copper boiler ; Mr Hislop, kitchen table ; Mr Fox, twenty yards flannel; Mr Little, sen , one bag sugar ; Mr Wilson, one chest tea ; Mr Bardsley, one box soap ; Mrs Young, one pair blankets ; and also to intimate, as we are now furnishing the Refuge—being desirous of retaining the present funds in hand for building—we shall be glad of donations for this purpose in kind. We enumerate most immediate requirements —viz., plain bedroom and kitchen furniture, chairs, single mattrasses, blankets, counterpanes, bed and table linen, earthenware, hardware, &c. ; sewing machine, and women’s and children’s clothing.
