The Court of Appeal, to-day, confirmed the judgment of the Court below in Regina v. A. Youck and Regina v. Hennessy. A public meeting resolved to give a public reception and ball to Governor Fergusson. A large and influential committee was appointed. The Government have subsidised the Rangitoto to take the Suez mail, leaving here on Sunday morning. The Lady Bird is going to he taken upon the slip to have a larger screw fixed.
New Plymouth, June 6. Capt. Young sailed with thirty men for Auckland last night. Auckland, June 6, The Star of the South, under contract with the New Zealand and Fijian Governments, left for Fiji to-day, to open up the service. She is expected to return about the 22nd, There is no Waikato news to-day.
