The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption this day, was L 1,297 15s 3d.
The amount of revenue collected at the Custom House, Dunedin, during the month ending May 31, was as follows -.—Spirits, L 5,958 4s; do. Colonial, L 994 Is 6d: cigars and snuff, L 260 13s sd; tobacco, L 1,983 4s 6d; wine, L 648 12s lid : ale and beer (bottled), L 374 3s 6d ;do (in wood) ; Ll4O 18s ; tea, L 1,349 17s 6d; coffee, cocoa, chicory, and chocolate, L 241 5s Id; sugar, LI, 796 12s 2d ; firearms, LI ss; powder and shot, L 23 15s 3d; goods by measurement, L 4,883 8s Id; do by weight, L 2.407 Os Id; ad valorem , Ll9l 10s lid; opium, L 33 6; sundries, L 777 2s sd, making a total of L 22,367 14s 4d. The amount for the month of April was L 23,174 14s 8d; the decrease being chiefly in goods by measurement, which was L 6,206 7s 9d for that period.
