Friday, May 30. (Before his Worship the Mayor.)
Obscene La' gu age —John Wise Harrison, charged with making use of obscene language in Princes street, at 2.45 p.ra. on the previous day, was fined 10s, with the option of 24 hours’ imprisonment. Byelaw Cases. —Peter Treston, John Didbam, and Robert Graham, for driving their horses and carts through the main streets after dusk without having a light attached thereto, were each fined 2s 6d an I costs ; Wm. Neil, leaving his horse and dray unattended in Princes street, without having chained the wheels, and Alex. M'Gregor, allowing the chimney of hia house to be on fire, were each fined 2s 6d without costs. Charges against Patrick Flynn, of allowing the company’s water to run to waste, and John Welsh, of permitting a bullock to wander, were dismissed.
