THE COUNTRY.
Arrowtown. —The Committee of the Arrow District Miners’ Association its usual monthly meeting on Saturday, 3rd hist., when it was resolved :—“ That a memorial be forwarded to the Provincial Government through Mr Innes, praying that the salary of the Warden at the Arrow may bo placed on a par with the salaries of the other Goldfields’ Wardens. That Mr Innes be requested to endeavor to have the following amounts placed on tho Kstiniates :—Roaring Billy to Matatanu, LIOO ; bridge and approaches at Whitechapel Flat (independent of L2O already granted), L3O ; Bracken’s track and bridge, L 10 0; Cardrona track, L 70.” It was also directed that it should be stated that the last letter sent from the Association to Mr B. Hallcnstcin was forwarded prior to the last meeting of tho Assembly. The meeting adjourned to tho 17th inst.
