Drunkenness. —John Colin alias Carline waa fine! '2ps, witjh the alternative of 48 hours imprisonment w’ith hard'lab»r. Obscene Mrs Oapdy was charged with making use of indeomt language towards Michael Lake, at East i'aieri, on the 26th inst. Mr Wilson appeared for the complainant, who stated that on the day in question defendant made use of the language complained of, because he stopped her husband’s passage money, which was owing to Messrs Brogden and Sons.—George Reynolds said he heard a few words pass between the complainant and defendant, but did not hear any obscene language, as he walked away on the parties coming to high words.--Samuel Pearce was present during the whole time, but did not hear high words pass between the parties. As complainant’s evidence was not substantiated, the case was d'smissed.

Vaorancv. —Ann Woods alias Reid, Kate Miller, alias Jessie Laron, alias Jessie Creighton, John Harding, and Edward Robinson were charged with having no lawfnl means of support. —Geo. Watson and E. Goldsmith, neighbors of the accused, said their conduct was most disgraceful.—Detective Farrell deposed to having arrested the prisoners, and that they w«ire all living disreputably liyeg, ant) the houses in 1 which they lived were disgustingly ftlthj.—Qn p he application of the police, eentenyfe was reserved tiljL Saturday in the case of Robinso®, as there was a charge of larceny to be heard against him.
