N compliance with a Resolution of tbe House of Representatives, passed on 2nd October, 1872, a Bonus is hereby Efercd for the encouragement of certain olonial Industries, namely IRON. Bonus of £SOOO. For the production in New Zealand of 1000 tons weight of Pig Iron, of marketable uality. CONDITIONS. 1. The bonus uot to be given for any uantity less than 100 tons. 2. Notice of the intention to erect Iron forks and claim the bonus must be given > the Colonial Secretary, before 31st De;mber, 1873. 3. The bonus must bo claimed before the 3th June, 18734. In the event of more than one claimant iving such notice, not more than seveninths of the bonus may be claimed by tho rat producer, and not more than threemihs by the second producer ; but if only ie claimant becomes a producer on the hove conditions, he may claim the whole of ie bonus. 5. The Iron in respect of which any bonus claimed will be examined by an officer to s appointed by the Government, who may ■quire the production of bona fide, account lies of quantities not less than 100 tons eight, showing that such Iron has bcea dd at a fair market price as Pig Iron. STEEL. Bonus of £1000“. For the production in New Zealand of 100 ms weight of marketable Steel from Magetic or Titaniferous Iron Sand or Iron Ore. CONDITIONS. 1 Notice must be given to the Colonial ecretary of the intention to claim this bonus sfore the 30th June, 1873. 2. The claim for payment of the bonus mst be made before 30th June, 1874. 3 jhe bonus will bo paid to the producer ho effects the first bona fide sale of the bove quantity of Steel at a fair market SUGAR. Bonus of £2,000. For the production of 250 tons of Sugar mufactured from Beetroot in New Zealand. CONDITIONS. L Notice of the intention to claim this uus must be given to the Colonial Secretary Fore 31st December, 1873. 2 Claims for payment of the bonus to be xt in before 30th June, 1875. 3 The bonus will be paid to the producer l 0 fi rs t effects a hone fide sale of the amount Sugar specified, FISH.
