The ketch Lloyd’s Herald, from Catliu’s River, arrived in Port Chalmers this morning. She reports leaving on Sunday last, and experienced a succession of easterly winds. The Anne, from Moeraki, ami Mermaid, from Waikouaiti, sailed in this morning. The Margaret Galbraith was towed to sea this forenoon by the Geelong. She takes three cabin and eight steerage passengers. _ Her cargo consists of 550 bales of wool, ;>,758 bags of wheat, 5,755 cases of preserved meats, 202 casks of tallow, 1 bale of skips, _ 18 cases ami 2 casks of wine. She leaves in line trim, and is expected to make a smart run home, having been in dock. Tt is to be hoped that this anticipa on may bo realised, as it will bo a greater inducement for other ships to be docked, and •will bring the Port Chalmers Graving Dock into reputation.
