The amount ]of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption this day, was L 786 2s sd.

The sale of Corporation and other sections in the City, by Messrs M'Landress, Hepburn, and Co., to-day, attracted a large attendance, and the prices realised give a further indication of the increased values of ('ity properties. Sections that a couple of months ago could not bo sold at the upset price, were to-day disposed of at advances varying from 50 to 7o percent, and a section in George street, having only 24ft. frontage, was knocked down at the enormous figure of 82s a-foot. “ Bless me !” said a bystander, “my sections in Princes street cutting are 23s a-foot less.” The prices realised were as follow Allotment 3, section 17, block 16, Dunedin, with a frontage to George street of 24ft. 10in., with a valuation of L 104: upset price, 40s ; realised 82s per foot; purchaser, Mr D. Bannatyne. Lot 3, section 26, block 16, Dunedin, having a frontage to Great King street of 151 ft. 10in., and to Moray place northeast of 175 ft., with a valuation of L 25 : upset price, 10s; purchased at 18s a foot by Mr Brown. Lot 4, being lof section 40, block 17, DuneUln, having a frontage to Moray place north-west of 40ft. lOin.Jwith a valuation of L 35 : upset price, 15s ; purchased at 21s by Mr Scott. Lot 5, being section 58, Upper Harbor district, comprising five acres, more or less, LlO 5s a year—Mr Johnston. Lot 6, being section 15, block 1, Wharves and Quays reserve, having a frontage to Athol place, comprising a cpiarter-of-an-acrc, more or less, Ll7 10s a-year—Mr W. H. Neale. Fourroomed cottages, for removal, realised LB7 10s, L 24, and L2B. The following private properties were also sold Twenty-one years lease of the southern part of section 26, block 27, with 33ft. frontage to Gfc. King-street, L2O 10s, D, M, Spedding ; half of section, block 37, Dunedin, one chain frontage to Leith street, and 1| chains to St David street (freehold), Ll4O, Gibb; two sections in the township of llothesay, L3O each, A. T. Dunning.
