Dkunkknnkss. Henry Young alias Johnston, was fined ss, with the option of 24 hours’ imprisonment ; Patrick Crawford, not appearing, was lined in the amount of his bail (40s), with the option of 24 hours’. Byk Law Cases.—Walter Wilson, Joseph Northticld, John McLennan, George Dempster, and Mrs Fitzsimmons, for allowing their cows to wander, were each fined 20s and costs ; the Bench expressing their strong determination to put clown this practice, which h.ad grown so prevalent of lale. Peter Stewart, erecting a chimney without a license from the City Council ; and Thomas Martin, for driving his horse and cart across the footpath in High street, were dismissed with a caution.
