Trivial Assault.—Starkie r. Whittock, a charge of assault and battery, was dismissed.

Cruelty to Animals —George Harrington, dairyman, charged with ill treating a lame horse, by making it tnyyel from the Peacock hotel stably the Gasworks, when unfit to c(o so, was fined ss, or, in default of payment, 24 hours’ imprisonment with hard labor.
