PUBLIC Notice is hereby given, that the Assessment of all Buildings, Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments within the City of Dunedin, authorised by the “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865, and the Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance Amendment Ordinance, 1872,” for the year ending December 31st, 1873, according to the full, fair, and estimated annual rent at which the same might reasonably be expected to lot from year to year, free from all usual tenant’s rates, and taxes, and deducting therefrom the probable average annual cost of the repairs, insurance, and other expenses, if any, necessary to maintain the same in a state to command such rent, has been duly made. Notice is further given, that the said Assessment, having on the fourth day of April, 1873, been allowed by the Council of the said City, is now deposited, and may be daily inspected at the Town Clerk’s Office, Manse street, in the said City, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., by any person interested therein. And notice is further given, that any ppeals against the Assessment may be odged at the City Council Chambers, Manse treet (where blank forms may be had), on r before the 17th day of April, 1873. Also, hat a copy of each notice of appeal is reluired by law to be served, not later than he 17th instant, upon any person whose lame it is proposed to insert in the Assessnent, or whose property it may be alleged las been omitted therefrom, or assessed ,elow its full, fair, and annual value. A copy of each notice of appeal is also equired to be delivered by the appellant to he Clerk of the Resident Magistrate’s Court, lunedin, on or before the 17th April instant, ioresaid. J. M.
