RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
This Day, (Before James Fulton, Esq., R.M.) CIVIL CASES. Wise v, Craig.—Ll Is, for goods supplied. Mr Edward Cook for plaintiff. Judgment by default for plaintiff for amount claimed, together with costs. Same v, Mayo. —L4 4s. In this case evidence for the defeucc had been taken at the Kesident Magistrate’s Court, Invercargill, to the effect that, iu consequence of defendant advertising in the “ New Zealand Directory,” a copy of the Directory was to be supplied free of charge. L 3 3s was paid into Court. Mr Seward, the plaintiff’s agent, stated that defendant signed the order produced in his presence, and that the offer, as stated by defendant, to supply a copy of the Directory free of charge, was not correct. L 3 3s was the charge for the advertisement, and LI Is for copy of the Directory. Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed, together with costs.
Same v. Perkins.—L3 Is. L2 6s had been paid into Court. A similar case to above Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed, together with costs. Same v. Hall. -L4 4s for advertising in the “ Now Zealand Directory,” and for A copy of same supplied. Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed, together with costs.
Same v. MHutosh. L 4 4s. Th s case was similar in substance'to the preceding. Judgment for the plaintiff for the amount, with costs. Mr Edward Cook appeared for the plaintiff in each case. Briscoe and Co. v. Keenan. —L2 2s lOd, for goods supplied. Judgment by default for plaintiffs for amount claimed, together with costs.
Several cases were struck out, there being no appearance.
