Sir, —Now the election of Mayor is fast approaching, would it not be a good thing to wipe away the Mayor’s Court, so as to tit one who could not devote the time to the duties incumbent thereon, or make place even for one of the most ignorant in the Council to become eligible for the ofiice. There might be an aspirant to that honorable position who could neither read nor write, and why should the Mayor’s Court be an obstacle to such a genius ?—I am, &c., One Who Knows.
