Tho market is not oversupplied in oa l s ; there is no alteration in the price ; several largo lots of feeding have been sold at 2s ; milling are at 2s to 2s 2d. Harley is offering only in very small lots; good new samples are worth Gs. In flour, the inquiry is brbk, but it only extends to small trade lots ; the price continues at LI3. Oatmeal, L 1.2 to 1,12 10s ; hi an, L 4 ; pollard, L 5 ; pearl barley, L 24 ; hay, L 3 os; straw, 1-2 ; chaff, L 3 I Os. A. Mercer reports, for the week ending Ist March Retail prices only : Fresh butter in hj and 1 lb. prints, best quality, lid per lb ; second do, 9d to lOd per lb. ; fresh do in lumps, Sd ; powdered and salt, Bd. The supply of fresh butter has increased considerably this week, and some of tba storekeepers arc salting down their surplus stock. Enquiry is still made for salt butter in kegs, but holders decline selling, except small lots to supply present orders; selling at S.’.d to 9d per lb. There is a good demand for‘cheese, and the market is pretty well stocked ; best quality, 9d per lb. bide and rolled bacon, Od to UM per lb ; good samples are scarce.
