The Samson returned from Oamaru yesterday evening, at 0.30, and berthed alongside the Warrior Queen, into which she discharged 137 bales of wool. Fine weather was experienced in the run across. The Beautiful Star came in from her northern trip at (5 a.m. to-day, and steamed alongside the Xoalandia to discharge her grain, after which ahe went to the City of Dunedin with preserved meats. The Star left Lyttelton on Monday, at 3.30 p.m., and arrived at Akaroa at 9 p.m. ; left at 11 p.m. for Timaru, and arrived there at 11 next morning ; left at 3 p m. the following day ; called at Oamaru, lauded passengers, and arrived in Port Chalmers as above.
