The coaster Defiance, from Kakanui, cams in early this morning, discharged her cargo into the City of Dunedin, and proceeded to Dunedin. The Jane Hannah, one of the Gatlin’s River traders, returned this morning at eight o’clock. She reports leaving yesterday morning, in company with the ketch Fanny, bound to VVaikouaiti, and experienced a stiff southerly breeze along the coast. The Pretty Jane returned from Oamaru this morning at six o’clock. She reports leaving on Monday night at 7.30, and experienced thick foggy weather, with a light S.E. breeze and heavy swell from the southward. On arrival the steamed alongside the Zealandia, to discharge her grain.
